パッシブハウス建築計画から住み心地まで

初めてパッシブハウスについて知ったのは、2015年。環境に良い生活について読んでいた時に知りました。

エコロジカルフットプリントを減らしたくて、もっと環境に良い生活をしたいと思っていました。

それについて詳しく調べていくと、パッシブハウスに辿り着きました。

通常の家よりも電気使用量を大幅に減らせ、さらにとても快適だと言うことを知りました。

ただ、通常の家よりも費用がかかることは心配ではありました。

建築中も一番の不安はコストでした。
最終的には一番初めに想定していた金額よりも高くなってしまいましたが、ウッドショックやコロナの経済的影響によるものでもあり仕方なかったと思っています。

防音効果については、雨が降っているのは聞こえません。
窓の外を見ないと雨が降っているかはわかりません。

家の前を通る車の音は聞こえます。
道からとても近いので、道を歩く人の声も聞こえることもあります。

 ・

この家は、季節に関係なく、常にとても快適です。

冬は暖かくて心地が良いです。

外が−5℃で、道に雪が積もっている時でも、家の中では短パンや半袖のTシャツを着ていることもよくあります。

同様に、夏でも気温は完璧なので、長ズボンと長袖のパジャマを着ていてもとても快適です。

湿度も素晴らしいです。

洗濯物を室内に夜干しておくと、翌朝には乾いています。イヤなニオイもしません。
室内干しなので、外の花粉や汚れが洗濯物につくことがなくて、とても気に入っています。

私たちのパッシブハウスは、今まで住んだ家の中で一番居心地がいいです。

暑い夏の日や寒い冬の日に外から帰って来た時に感じる家の中の快適さは本当に最高です。

住み心地の良さに加え、オール電化の家なのに、電気代の低さにはとても満足しています。

小さいアパート（ガスコンロで給湯器もガスのアパート）に住む知り合いの電気代よりも低いです。

そして、ソーラーパネルの売電によってさらに電気代が下がっています。

多分、だいたい毎月使っている電気量の80−90％ぐらいは発電しています。その月の電気使用量の150％〜200％の電気代を発電できた月もありました。

最後に、家中のどの部屋も常に快適な状態に保てていることもとても気に入っています。どの部屋も常に使えるので全てのスペースが有効活用できています。

 

総合的に見て、私たちはパッシブハウスにとても満足しています。

より多くの人にパッシブハウスのことを知ってもらいたです。

パッシブハウスの基準を満たす家を建てることも検討してもらいたいです。

通常の家よりも初期費用はかかりますが、長期的に電気代が削減できることと、高い基準を満たした家なので、当分の間はリフォームする必要もなく耐久性が高いことを考えると十分元が取れると思います。

英訳

We first heard about passive house in 2015 when reading about eco friendly living. We wanted to reduce our ecological footprint and live in a more environmentally friendly way. When researching further about passive house, we learned they require much less electricity and are very comfortable. However, we were concerned about price since we heard they are more expensive than traditional homes. Even during the build, our primary concern was the cost. In the end, the  house did cost more than we initially were prepared to pay, however, this can also be attributed to 'wood shock' and the economic effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Regarding noise, we do not hear when it is raining. We have to look out of the window to see whether it is raining or not. We do hear cars passing by and sometimes people, as our house is close to the street.

The house is always very comfortable, regardless of the season. In the winter it is warm and cozy. We often wear shorts and t-shirts inside, even when the temperature outside of the house is -5C and there is snow on the street. Likewise, in the summer the temperature inside is perfect. We even sleep in long pants and long-sleeved pajamas because they feel very cozy. The humidity is also excellent. We hang our clothes to dry inside overnight, the next morning it is dry and smelling great. We like that our clothes never have pollen or outside dust on them. Our passive house is the most comfortable house we have ever been in. Coming into the house on a hot summer day or a cold winter day is an amazing feeling.

In addition to the comfortableness of the house, we are very satisfied with the little electricity we use, even though our house is 100% electric. so we do not use natural gas or propane. We use less electricity than families we know who live in small apartments and even use gas for cooking and water heating. Moreover, our solar panels help offset most of our electricity use. On average, we probably produce 80-90% of the electricity we use. Some months we produced 150-200% of the electricity we used! Lastly, we like that every room in our house is comfortable all the time. We use every room regularly, no space is wasted.

Overall, we are very happy with our passive house and strongly encourage everyone to learn more about them and consider building their house to passive standard. The additional costs can probably be recouped with lower electricity bills over time and given that, the house being built to such a high standard, will likely last for a long time without the need for reform.

We are very grateful to our architect and construction company for making such a perfect house for us!
